EVIL ENERGY intake manifolds for Ford GM LS small block and performance V8 engines

Performance Intake Manifolds for Ford, GM, LS & Small Block Engines

EVIL ENERGY offers performance intake manifolds for compatible Ford, GM, LS, Small Block Chevy, Big Block Chevy, and other V8 engine builds. Whether you are replacing an existing engine manifold, building a street-performance engine, or planning an engine swap, the correct intake manifold should match the cylinder heads, induction system, displacement, intended RPM range, and available engine-bay clearance.

Choose from carbureted and EFI configurations, including dual-plane, single-plane, air-gap, high-rise, and application-specific designs. For an LS engine intake manifold, confirm whether the cylinder heads use cathedral or rectangular ports before ordering, because LS manifolds are not interchangeable across every LS engine.

What Should You Check Before Choosing an EVIL ENERGY Intake Manifold?

Engine Family: LS, SBC, BBC, Ford Windsor, Cleveland, GM, or other listed application
Cylinder-Head Port: Cathedral, rectangular, oval, Vortec, or application-specific port design
Induction Type: Carburetor or EFI
RPM Range: Match the manifold design to the intended street or higher-RPM operating range
Interface: Confirm carburetor flange or throttle-body size and mounting pattern
Clearance: Check manifold height, hood clearance, fuel rails, sensors, vacuum ports, and surrounding components

Unlike general car intakes, an intake manifold must match the engine architecture and cylinder-head ports. Review each product's specifications and fitment notes before ordering. EVIL ENERGY provides fast order processing and eligible returns under the current store policy.

Intake Manifold Fitment & Buying Guide

Choosing the right intake manifold requires more than matching the engine name. Use this guide to check throttle body size, cylinder-head ports, bolt pattern, fuel-system configuration, hood clearance, sensors, and package contents before ordering or installing an EVIL ENERGY intake manifold.

Use a throttle body that matches the manifold opening and bolt pattern and is appropriate for the engine combination. A larger throttle body is not automatically better. Confirm the manifold bore size, mounting pattern, engine airflow demand, and ECU requirements.

Confirm the cylinder-head ports, bolt pattern, gasket alignment, carburetor or throttle-body interface, fuel rails, injectors, vacuum ports, sensors, coolant passages where applicable, and hood clearance. Dry-fit the manifold before final assembly when possible.

Confirm your engine family, cylinder-head port, displacement, carburetor or EFI system, intended RPM range, throttle-body or carburetor pattern, manifold height, hood clearance, required sensors or vacuum ports, and the exact package contents. These checks are more reliable than choosing an intake manifold by vehicle name alone.

FAQs about Intake Manifold

How do I know which intake manifold fits my engine?

Start with the exact engine family and cylinder-head port, then confirm the bolt pattern, displacement, carburetor or EFI setup, and manifold height. An intake manifold that fits one version of an engine family may not fit another, so check the product-specific fitment before ordering.

Will an EVIL ENERGY intake manifold fit all LS engines?

No. LS engines use different cylinder-head port designs. LS1, LS2, and LS6 applications commonly use cathedral ports, while many LS3, L92, L99, and L76 combinations use rectangular ports. Match the manifold to the actual cylinder heads rather than choosing by the LS name alone.

How can I tell if my LS engine has cathedral or rectangular ports?

Check the cylinder-head casting, engine application, or the shape of the intake ports after removing the existing manifold. Do not rely only on engine displacement because engines with similar displacement may use different head and port designs.

Should I choose a dual-plane or single-plane intake manifold?

A dual-plane intake manifold is generally better suited to street-oriented engines that spend more time at lower and mid-range RPM. A single-plane design is generally chosen for combinations intended to operate at higher RPM. Match the manifold to the camshaft, cylinder heads, displacement, gearing, and intended driving range.

Which intake manifold is better for a street car?

For a primarily street-driven vehicle, focus on the RPM range where the engine is actually used. A manifold designed for lower and mid-range response may be more useful than a high-rise or racing-oriented manifold that makes its strongest airflow contribution at higher RPM.
