Choose a CPE Fuel Line by Fuel, Pressure and Route

Use a CPE fuel line only when the exact product page lists your intended fuel or fluid and required pressure. Several Evil Energy CPE products explicitly exclude E85, E10 and methanol, so do not infer compatibility from the braid or the CPE name alone. For those fuels, compare PTFE fuel line kits and choose only a product whose page confirms the intended fuel. Published working pressure can also change by hose size and kit, so verify the selected AN variant instead of applying one collection wide rating.

Match the High Pressure Fuel Hose Kit to the Project

  • Hose and fitting kit: Choose this format when the pump, filter and regulator are already selected. Confirm the AN size, hose length, fitting angles and package contents. Use matching CPE hose fittings rather than assuming CPE and PTFE hose ends are interchangeable.
  • Dual size kit: Choose this only when the plumbing plan calls for two hose sizes. Keep each hose and fitting size consistent and verify the provided length for both circuits.
  • Complete fuel system kit: Compare fuel system line kits when the build also requires listed pump, filter, regulator or fuel cell components. Read the selected variant carefully because CPE and PTFE options may share one product listing.

FAQs about CPE Line Kits

Is every Evil Energy CPE fuel line compatible with E85, E10 or methanol?

No. Several Evil Energy CPE fuel line is not compatible with E85, E10 or methanol. Do not select a hose from the collection name alone. Open the exact SKU and variant and confirm that the intended fuel is listed. If compatibility is not expressly stated, use a PTFE fuel line product whose own page confirms that fuel.

Choose a CPE fuel line kit only when its product page confirms your fluid, working pressure, size and required kit contents. Choose PTFE for E85 or another alcohol based fuel only when the selected PTFE product expressly lists that fuel. CPE and PTFE also use different hose end designs, so their fittings must not be assumed interchangeable.

Start with the ports and plumbing requirements specified for your pump, filter, regulator, fuel rail or carburetor. An AN dash size identifies a hose and fitting family; it is not a horsepower rating. Keep the hose and fittings in the same AN size and material system. Measure the actual routed path around heat sources and moving components, then verify the selected product’s inside diameter, outside diameter, minimum bend radius and fitting angles.

There is no single pressure rating for the entire collection. Selected published Evil Energy CPE products list working pressures from 500 to 750 PSI, depending on the product and AN size. For example, one 10 ft CPE kit lists 6AN and 8AN at 750 PSI and 10AN at 625 PSI, while another product lists 12AN at 500 PSI. These are product examples, not a universal rating. Use the working pressure of the exact purchased variant and keep the system below the lowest published working pressure of any hose, fitting, adapter, filter, regulator or connection in the assembly.

Use hose ends designed for CPE fuel line, make clean square cuts and follow the product’s assembly instructions. Maintain the published minimum bend radius and support the hose away from exhaust heat, moving parts and abrasive edges. Pressure test the completed system before operation and inspect it periodically for fuel odor, dampness, loose connections, damaged braid, hardening, softening, swelling or cracking. Because the braid can limit visibility of the inner liner, an undamaged outer surface alone does not confirm that the assembly is serviceable. Stop using the system if a leak or material change is found.
