Confirm vehicle fitment

Check the exact year, make, model, engine and drivetrain. If the vehicle has factory air suspension or electronic damping, confirm that the replacement or upgrade is specifically compatible with that system.

Check the critical dimensions

For wheel spacers, verify:

Final purchase check

It can expose weaknesses in a poorly matched build. More torque can increase wheel hop, mount movement, traction loss and stress on suspension or driveline components. Before adding power, inspect the engine and transmission mounts, bushings, suspension, tires, brakes and alignment. Chassis upgrades can improve control when correctly selected, but ordinary bolt on parts should not be treated as a repair for a cracked, rusted or deformed frame. Structural damage requires inspection by a qualified professional.

Choose the part according to the system showing the problem. An engine oil cooler kit manages engine, transmission or differential oil temperature when the product supports that application. A radiator and electric fan manage coolant heat. A coolant overflow tank manages expanding coolant and recovery volume. A baffled oil catch can separates oil mist and moisture from crankcase gases before they reach the intake. An oil catch can does not replace a radiator, and a radiator does not solve PCV oil contamination.

Reduce that risk by matching each component to the vehicle and use case, staying within published pressure and temperature ratings, routing hoses away from heat and abrasion, and checking fittings, fasteners and fluid leaks after installation. Begin with the vehicle’s main limitation. For a daily driver, prioritize dependable temperatures, leak control and predictable handling. For towing or hot climates, review coolant and oil temperature before selecting additional cooling capacity. For track use, consider heat management, braking, tires, suspension control and alignment together. For an LS swap, confirm engine clearance, cooling layout, PCV routing, hose connections and chassis support before ordering LS engine parts.
