1. Disconnect both negative battery cables on the dual-battery Ram.
2. Find the firewall grommet under the driver-side dash, then pull the grommet or cut a small slit to pass the red, white and black leads into the engine bay.
3. Route the leads along the firewall to the crankcase pressure sensor on the driver-side rear of the valve cover, away from the turbo, exhaust and steering shaft.
4. Unplug the crankcase pressure sensor from the factory harness.

• Loose terminal: a terminal pushed in without a click backs out of the 3-pin connector. Give each wire a light pull test before pressing in the red locking wedge.
• Connector not seated: the switch plug must click fully onto the crankcase pressure sensor harness.
• 2019–2020 ECM access: a locked ECM on later trucks blocks the SOTF flash until the EZ LYNK bypass/unlock cable is installed.
• Signal check: with the key on, a multimeter on the switch signal wire should show a different voltage at each of the five detents.
