EGR stands for exhaust gas recirculation. An EGR delete kit is an aftermarket performance part that removes the EGR valve and prevents exhaust from being redirected back to the engine. Ultimately, this allows your vehicle to function as if it never had an EGR valve. There are a number of key differences you'll notice after having an EGR delete kit installed.
DPF stands for diesel particulate filter. A DPF delete pipe is a straight section of pipe that replaces the restrictive DPF.
The Particulate Filter also known as the DPF, is a device designed to remove diesel particulate matter or soot from the exhaust gas of a diesel engine. Wall-flow diesel particulate filters usually remove 85% or more of the soot, and can at times (heavily loaded conditions) attain soot removal efficiencies of close to 100%. A diesel-powered vehicle equipped with a functioning filter will emit no visible smoke from its exhaust pipe.

Technically no. The biggest reason people choose a 5" system over a 4" is for sound. While both kits will lower EGTs and gain fuel mileage, the 5" system will cause you to loose a little bottom-end torque. Because these trucks not only already come with a 4" system but also produce so much torque at the lower end they will usually see the best results from a 5" kit.

If you have a 5th wheel or hide-away hitch on your truck that extends below the bed and inside the frame rails, this will cause an interference with the driver-side tailpipe installation. The driver-side pipe crosses over from the passenger side very close to the bottom of the bed floor. This will still clear the spare tire though.
The average install time on a single turbo back exhaust is about 1-2 hrs. A cat-back single system usually is about 0.5-1 hr. A dual exhaust usually takes a bit longer, typically around 2-3 hours. All of which can be done with common hand tools.
The typical max safety EGT setting for most aftermarket chips and tuners is 1350. That means once your exhaust gas temperatures reach this level if you have a unit that has safety features built into it, it will set off an alarm of some sort to let you know to back out of it. Most units in fact with these features will do it automatically. It's not recommended to go over that temp because, over a period of time, it can cause internal engine damage.
