Aging ignition coils and heat-cycled plug wires can make a 5.7L LS1 or LS6 ignition service incomplete when only one side of the system is replaced. This EVIL ENERGY kit pairs a complete replacement coil set with eight 8.5mm spark plug wires for owners servicing the selected Camaro, Corvette, Firebird, and GTO applications below, whether the vehicle is a daily driver, weekend car, or maintenance-focused restoration.
The coil creates the high-voltage ignition output, while the plug wire carries that output to the spark plug. Replacing both components during the same service provides a coordinated way to address age, heat exposure, damaged boots, increased wire resistance, or an inconsistent coil-to-plug connection. This kit is a replacement and service package; actual engine operation still depends on spark plugs, wiring, grounds, fuel delivery, compression, calibration, and the condition of the remaining ignition system.

The ignition coil and spark plug wire perform different jobs in the same circuit. The ignition coil generates the high-voltage spark energy, while the spark plug wire transfers that energy from the coil to the plug. A new coil cannot correct a damaged, loose, heat-stressed, or internally high-resistance wire, and a new wire cannot correct a weak or failing coil.
Servicing both components together can be useful when the vehicle has accumulated substantial mileage, when several ignition components show heat aging, or when the goal is to refresh the complete coil-to-plug path across all eight cylinders. It also makes it easier to inspect the related spark plugs, terminals, wire holders, boot clearance, and exhaust-side heat exposure during one service operation.
This kit should be treated as an ignition-system service and upgrade package, not as a substitute for proper diagnosis. Misfire, rough-idle, hard-start, or hesitation symptoms can also be caused by worn spark plugs, injector or fuel-delivery faults, vacuum leaks, compression problems, wiring faults, ECU calibration, or other engine conditions.

The EVIL ENERGY replacement coil set is listed against the UF192 reference. The manufacturer lists a 49,000 V maximum voltage, 2.42 ms spark duration, 1 Ω primary resistance, 10.9 kΩ secondary resistance, and a 77:1 turns ratio. These are component specifications; they do not establish a guaranteed engine-output increase or replace diagnosis of the complete ignition and fuel systems.
The set is intended for a full eight-cylinder coil service. Before ordering, compare the existing coil connector, mounting points, case shape, and wire connection with the product photos and the original parts on the vehicle. Engine swaps, aftermarket harnesses, or prior ignition conversions can change compatibility even when the vehicle model and year appear in the table.
The included red spark plug wire set uses a stainless steel conductor with silicone insulation and a manufacturer-listed resistance of 293-439 Ω per foot. Each wire has pre-installed coil-end and spark-plug-end boots, with a 45-degree DD-style spark plug boot for the referenced LS1/LS6 routing arrangement.
The product page lists an 8-inch reference length. Compare the complete set against the original wire lengths and boot angles before installation, then route each lead without tension. A correct vehicle listing does not override differences caused by headers, relocated coils, aftermarket valve covers, or custom engine placement.
This bundle is limited to the following 5.7L 350 cu. in. naturally aspirated V8 applications: 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro, 1998-2004 Chevrolet Corvette, 1998-2002 Pontiac Firebird, and 2004 Pontiac GTO. No other vehicle, engine size, or year range is included in this bundle listing.
Use the exact vehicle, year, and engine combination: Do not order from the LS1/LS6 name alone. Confirm that the vehicle retains the expected coil mounting, connectors, short coil-to-plug wire layout, and 45-degree plug-boot clearance. Modified or swapped vehicles require a direct comparison with the installed components.
