Connect a female 1/2-14 NPT port to a 5/8-inch ID hose while keeping the line routed close to the component. This 90-degree EVIL ENERGY NPT to barb adapter is designed for custom fuel, oil, water, and air plumbing where a straight fitting would require excessive hose bend or additional clearance.

Secure the Hose with a Compatible Clamp

Push the correct 5/8-inch ID hose fully over the barb and secure it with a properly sized clamp suitable for the hose material, fluid, temperature, and system pressure. The hose and clamp are sold separately.

6061-T6 Aluminum with Black Anodized Finish

Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and finished with a black anodized coating, this fitting resists corrosion, wear, and chemical exposure for long-term reliability in fuel, oil, water, and air systems.

1500 PSI Working Pressure with Tapered Thread Seal

Rated for 1500 PSI working pressure and temperatures from -64°F to 252°F. The NPT side uses tapered threads for a metal-to-metal seal — apply sealant or PTFE tape on installation to guarantee a leak-free connection.

Before You Order and Install

Match the NPT Port

This adapter has a 1/2-14 NPT male thread and must be installed in a matching female NPT port. It is not compatible with AN, ORB, BSP, metric, or straight-thread ports without the correct adapter.

Match the Hose ID

The hose barb is intended for a 5/8-inch ID hose. Do not select the fitting based only on the hose outside diameter. Verify the hose manufacturer’s stated inside diameter and fluid compatibility before installation.

Plan the Final Barb Direction
