DESCRIPTION

Manual Isolation for Custom AN Fuel Lines

Add a dedicated shutoff point to a custom fuel or fluid line without converting between AN and pipe threads. This Evil Energy fuel shutoff valve uses matching male AN connections on both ends and is available in 6AN, 8AN, and 10AN sizes. The cable-ready lever provides manual on/off operation for service, storage, draining, or line isolation. Select the valve size that matches the female swivel hose ends already used in your system, or pair it with a compatible PTFE fuel line kit for a new fuel-system installation.

Close the valve to stop flow through the line during maintenance, storage, draining, or component replacement. This is a manually operated shutoff valve, not an automatic fuel check valve.

AN Thread with 37° Flare Seal

Both ports of the EVIL ENERGY Fuel Shutoff Valve use male AN threads with a 37° flare sealing surface. The flare faces create the seal when connected to matching female AN swivel fittings; the threads draw the two sealing surfaces together. Do not substitute NPT fittings or apply pipe-thread tape to the AN flare connection. Confirm the selected 6AN, 8AN, or 10AN size before ordering.

6061-T6 Aluminum with Black Anodized Finish

CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and finished with a black anodized coating, this valve resists corrosion, wear, and chemical exposure for long-term reliability in fuel, oil, coolant, and air systems.

1500 PSI Working Pressure with Lever Handle Control

Before purchasing the EVIL ENERGY Fuel Shutoff Valve, confirm that the selected 6AN, 8AN, or 10AN size matches the female AN hose ends used on both sides of the fuel or fluid line.

Check the Connection Type

The Shutoff Valve has male 37° flare connections on both ends and requires matching female AN swivel fittings. It cannot connect directly to NPT ports unless the correct AN-to-NPT adapters are installed. Do not force AN and NPT threads together or apply pipe-thread tape to the AN flare sealing surfaces.

Confirm Installation Clearance

Allow enough space for the lever and control cable to move through their complete operating range without contacting nearby hoses, brackets, wiring, or vehicle components. The valve body and connected lines should also be properly supported to prevent side loading on the fittings.

Verify Operation Before Pressurizing

Confirm the marked flow direction and identify the fully open and fully closed lever positions before pressurizing the system. Operate the EVIL ENERGY Fuel Shutoff Valve fully open or fully closed rather than leaving it partially open.

Before final installation, verify that the valve’s internal bore, working-pressure rating, temperature range, and internal seal materials meet the flow and fluid-compatibility requirements of the complete system. After installation, pressurize the line gradually and inspect all connections for leaks.

A: This is a manual fuel shutoff valve with a cable-ready lever. It does not contain an electrical solenoid and will not operate automatically from a vehicle switch, sensor, or engine-control module.

Q: How do I choose between the 6AN, 8AN, and 10AN fuel shutoff valve sizes?

A: Select the same AN size used by the female hose ends on both sides of the installation point. The 6AN shutoff valve uses 9/16-18 UNF threads, the 8AN valve uses 3/4-16 UNF threads, and the 10AN shutoff valve uses 7/8-14 UNF threads.
