DESCRIPTION

AN to Carburetor Fuel Inlet Adapter

Connect a 6AN or 8AN fuel line hose end to a compatible 5/8-20 or 7/8-20 carburetor inlet. The straight aluminum body is designed for fuel-system layouts with enough clearance for the hose to approach the inlet without a tight bend or side load.

Fuel System Applications

Straight Fuel-Line Routing

Use the straight adapter when the fuel hose can run directly toward the carburetor inlet. Check the space around the fuel bowl, linkage, air cleaner, and nearby engine components before choosing the hose route.

Single and Dual Inlet Layouts

Select one adapter for a single compatible inlet. Choose two matching adapters when the fuel-system layout uses two inlets with the same thread size. Confirm both ports before ordering because inlet sizes can differ between carburetor configurations.

6AN and 8AN Fuel-Line Connections

Installation and Sealing

AN Flare Connection

The AN side seals at the 37-degree flare surface. Keep the flare clean and correctly aligned; the threads provide clamping force and are not the sealing surface.

Carburetor Inlet Connection

Use the matching aluminum sealing washer on the carburetor side. Start the fitting by hand, keep it square to the port, and stop if the threads bind or do not engage smoothly.

Leak Check Before Operation
