AN Male Hardline Compression Adapter
Transition metal hardline to a male AN flare without treating flexible hose as rigid tubing. Choose the adapter by the hardline outside diameter and required AN connection: 1/4-inch tube to 3AN, or 5/16- and 3/8-inch tube to 6AN.
Match the Hardline Outside Diameter
Use Compatible Metal Tubing
This compression fitting is intended for stainless steel or aluminum hardline. Measure the tube outside diameter and do not use soft, braided rubber, or nylon hose in the compression end.
Prepare a Clean, Straight Tube End
Cut the tube square, remove burrs, clean away debris, and keep enough straight tube length for the nut and ferrule to seat correctly. Support the hardline so vibration does not load the joint.
Connect the AN Flare Side
Match the male 37-degree flare to a compatible female AN hose end or component. Start threads by hand, align both sealing surfaces, and pressure-test the completed fuel-line connection before operation.
