A fuel cell gas tank is a performance-oriented fuel storage system, typically used in race cars, drift builds, or custom vehicles. Unlike factory tanks, aluminum fuel cells are lightweight, modular, and often include features like built-in pumps, foam baffling, and AN fittings for high-flow fuel delivery.

Is this fuel cell compatible with EFI systems?

Yes. The EVIL ENERGY fuel cell kit is compatible with both EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) and carbureted systems. For EFI setups, choose a version with a high-pressure fuel cell with pump to meet flow and PSI requirements.

What fuel types can be used with this tank?

This fuel cell gas tank is compatible with gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, various oils, grease, water, air, racing gas, and vacuum applications. When using E85 gasoline, methanol, or ethanol, it must be paired with PTFE fuel lines. These fuels are not suitable when used with CPE fuel lines, as they can cause material degradation, swelling, or leakage over time. Following these guidelines helps ensure the longevity and reliability of your fuel delivery system.

Does it come with a fuel pump?

Select kits include a high-efficiency electric fuel pump pre-installed, making it a complete fuel cell and pump kit. Please check the product title and specifications to confirm if the version you're selecting includes a pump.

Which sizes are available?

Is anti-slosh foam included?

Yes, on select cubic models, anti-slosh foam is built in to reduce fuel movement during aggressive driving and to help prevent fuel starvation or flashback. Rectangular models do not include foam. We recommend inspecting and replacing foam regularly for best results.

Can I mount this in the trunk or bed?

Yes. The EVIL ENERGY fuel cell features universal mounting tabs and is designed for flexible installation in trunks, truck beds, or rear chassis locations. Be sure to secure the unit properly and comply with local safety regulations.

Can it be used with E85 fuel?

Yes, but with caution:

E85 gasoline must be used with PTFE fuel lines.
When paired with CPE fuel lines, it is not suitable for E85 gasoline, methanol, or ethanol.
CPE material can degrade, swell, or leak when exposed to high-ethanol fuels like E85 over time. PTFE offers better chemical resistance and is recommended for alcohol-based fuels.
Always match the hose material to the fuel type, avoid incompatible combinations, and follow the manufacturer’s installation and maintenance guidelines to ensure safety and durability.

I upgraded to ptfe line to run e85 bought the ls swap kit and 10 micron filter. Almost a dozen fittings everything went together perfectly and no keaks on start up. Very happy would buy again no question.

I installed it in a v8 swapped ford ranger!

I used some nylon spacers and riv nuts to attach this to my inner apron. As long as this doesn't leak when filled, I see no problems. This should do its job just fine. To be safe I used some teflon tape on the threads. I've used all evil energy fittings, lines, and hoses on this build. Mostly purchased from amazon, prime shipping is a game changer. So far I have not been let down; only impressed. Thanks EE!

This is insane I have bought many carburetors online before and it's always a hassle, lots of adjustments or a slew of unforeseen problems. Just as the other reviews state the product was delivered next day and everything matched perfectly. I installed it in about 20 minutes, primed it twice and on low idle it fired up on first pull. Literally unreal!
