Build a Fuel Pump and Filter Kit for Your EFI System

Fuel-system projects can develop pressure loss, fuel starvation, pump noise, or installation problems when the pump, filter, and mounting hardware do not work together. This configurable EVIL ENERGY fuel pump and filter kit solves that by letting you select a compatible external or in-tank pump, the required filtration grade, and a matching bracket in one package — built for EFI conversions, engine swaps, custom fuel cells, and experienced installers who need matched components from the start.

Start by choosing where the pump will be installed. Then select the pump according to required flow at operating pressure, choose the filter according to its position in the fuel system, and add a bracket only when it matches the outside diameter of the selected external component.

EVIL ENERGY EFI fuel pump and filter kit with external and in tank pump options
Choose the fuel pump, filter grade, and mounting option required for your EFI fuel-system layout.

Which Fuel Pump Option Is Right for You?

  • 300LPH External Fuel Pump: For externally mounted 12V EFI systems, custom fuel cells, engine swaps, and performance fuel-system builds. Published flow: 300 LPH at 43 PSI and 13.5V; 255 LPH at 43 PSI and 12V; 200 LPH at 75 PSI and 12V. Includes external pump, variant-specific inlet and outlet fittings, electrical terminals, protective boots, nuts, washers, and installation hardware.
  • 255LPH In-Tank Fuel Pump: For higher-flow in-tank EFI upgrades. Published flow: 255 LPH at 43 PSI and 12V; 190 LPH at 80 PSI and 12V. Includes in-tank pump, inlet strainer, wiring pigtail, short hose, hose clamps, isolation components, and installation hardware.
  • 110LPH In-Tank Fuel Pump: For OE-style replacement applications matching the reference number, dimensions, connector, and fuel-pump hanger. Published flow: 110 LPH at 43 PSI and 12V; 200 LPH at 0 PSI and 12V. Includes in-tank pump, inlet strainer, wiring pigtail, short hose, hose clamps, isolation components, and installation hardware.
  • Without Fuel Pump: For users who already have a compatible pump and only need filtration or mounting components.

Fuel Pump Selection Note: A 110LPH, 255LPH, or 300LPH model name does not represent fuel delivery at every pressure. Choose the pump using its published flow at your intended operating pressure and available voltage.

View detailed pump dimensions, accessories, and individual variants on the EVIL ENERGY electric in-tank and external fuel pump page.

Which Fuel Filter Option Is Right for You?

Each selected EVIL ENERGY inline fuel filter includes an aluminum housing, removable stainless steel element, o-ring seals, end caps, and the adapters shown for that variant. The stainless steel element is fully removable for inspection and cleaning, extending the life of your fuel system.

  • 100 Micron: Coarse, lower-restriction filtration commonly considered before an external fuel pump.
  • 10 Micron: Fine filtration commonly considered after the pump in compatible EFI fuel systems.
  • 30 or 40 Micron: Intermediate filtration options for compatible custom systems.
  • 10 + 100 Micron: A convenient dual-filter option for separate coarse and fine filtration stages.
  • Without Fuel Filter: For users who already have suitable fuel-system filtration.

Filter Selection Note: A smaller micron number is not automatically better. Installing a restrictive fine filter before an external fuel pump may reduce inlet fuel supply. Confirm filter position, expected flow, pressure drop, and pump requirements.

Follow the arrow on the filter housing. Position the closed end of the filter element against the internal spring, with fuel flowing from the spring side toward the opposite end.

View individual micron, adapter, color, size, and bracket configurations on the EVIL ENERGY inline fuel filter product page.

Optional Mounting Bracket

  • Available Sizes: 50mm or 60mm, depending on the selected configuration.
  • Material: Aluminum alloy clamp with rubber vibration-isolating insert.
  • Application: Secures a compatible external fuel pump or inline fuel filter. Not used to mount an in-tank fuel pump.
  • Fitment Check: Measure the outside diameter of the selected pump or filter before choosing a bracket.

Before You Order

  • Confirm whether the pump must be mounted externally or inside the tank.
  • Check pump flow at your intended fuel pressure and available voltage.
  • For in-tank pumps, compare dimensions, connector, hanger, and strainer.
  • Confirm fuel compatibility for every selected component.
  • Select the filter according to its intended position in the system.
  • Confirm fuel-line and adapter sizes.
  • Measure the pump or filter before adding a mounting bracket.
  • Review the final pump, filter, and bracket selections at checkout.

Q: Does every configuration include an EFI fuel pump?

A: No. Pump options include 300LPH External, 255LPH Intank, 110LPH Intank, and Without Fuel Pump. Review the selected configuration before checkout.

Q: Are the accessories from the single-product pump included?

A: The selected pump includes the standard pump-specific accessories shown for that variant. External-pump and in-tank-pump accessory packages are different.

Q: Does every fuel pump kit include an inline fuel filter?

A: No. Select 10, 30, 40, 100, or 10 + 100 Micron to receive the corresponding filter configuration. Selecting Without Fuel Filter means no filter is included.

Q: Does the 10 + 100 Micron option include two filters?

A: Yes. It is a dual-filter configuration with a 100-micron coarse-filter assembly and a 10-micron fine-filter assembly.

Q: Should I choose an external fuel pump or an in-tank fuel pump?

A: Choose according to the existing fuel-system layout, pump flow at working pressure, tank or hanger design, available mounting space, wiring, noise expectations, and service requirements.

Q: Does the 300LPH fuel pump deliver 300 LPH at every pressure?

A: No. The published 300 LPH point is measured at 43 PSI and 13.5V. Published flow is lower at 12V or at higher operating pressure.

Q: Is the EVIL ENERGY fuel pump 044 option the 300LPH external pump?

A: The 300LPH external pump body is marked EVIL ENERGY Fuel Systems Part #044. Confirm pressure, flow, dimensions, threads, terminals, and fittings before treating it as interchangeable with another 044-style pump.

Q: Is the mounting bracket included?

A: The bracket is included only when With Bracket is selected. Confirm the selected component diameter because one bracket does not fit every pump or filter.

Q: Can this EFI fuel pump kit be used with E85?

A: Only when the selected pump, filter, o-rings, hoses, regulator, and fittings are all approved for the intended ethanol content. Do not use the pump's fuel list as confirmation for the complete package.

Q: Is this a vehicle-specific direct-replacement fuel pump kit?

A: The 300LPH external and 255LPH in-tank options are universal-style components requiring dimensional and system verification. The 110LPH option has published reference numbers, but the OE number, dimensions, connector, hanger, and installation depth must still be checked.

Q: Are the regulator, fuel line, relay, and wiring included?

A: They are not automatically included. Package contents are limited to the selected pump, selected filter, their standard variant accessories, and the optional bracket.

Q: Which filter micron rating should I choose?

A: Choose according to filter position, pump requirements, fuel type, expected flow, pressure drop, and complete system design. A 100-micron filter is commonly considered for coarse pre-pump filtration, while a 10-micron filter is commonly considered for fine post-pump filtration when compatible.

Q: Is the inline fuel filter reusable?

A: Yes. The stainless steel element can be removed for inspection and cleaning. Replace the element or seals if they are damaged or no longer serviceable.

Q: How should fuel flow through the inline filter?

A: Follow the arrow on the filter housing. The closed end of the element should seat against the internal spring, with fuel flowing from the spring side toward the opposite end.

Q: Why might an external inline fuel pump become noisy?

A: Noise can be affected by rigid mounting, low fuel level, inlet restriction, a clogged pre-filter, air entering the line, voltage drop, heat, or chassis vibration. Check the complete installation before assuming the pump is defective.
